Getting Started

1. Create a Transifex Account:

Haven't created a Transifex account yet? Create one here.

2. Join the GlobaLeaks Translation Team

3. Know the Glossary

Review the key terms used in the GlobaLeaks platform before you begin translating so that you fully understand how they will be used. Note, even more GlobaLeaks terms are listed in the Unified Localization Lab Glossary.

4. Demo GlobaLeaks:

Test out the GlobaLeaks platform! This is an important step that will familiarize you with the tool and let you see original English strings in context.

5. Review the #Translation Guidelines:

Make sure you are familiar with the Translation Guidelines before you begin translating. They contain important information like whether or not to translate or transliterate the Project name.

Translation Guidelines

Refer to the general Translation and Review Guidelines.

  • Do not translate or transliterate the app name. If it is necessary to transliterate for users in your language, please leave "Globaleaks" in Latin letters followed by the transliterated name in parentheses.
Ex: Briar (برایر)
  • Take advantage of the GlobaLeaks Documentation. The documentation will help you navigate the project strings and better understand context and how GlobaLeaks works.
